At least 15 people were killed and dozens injured after a car bomb exploded outside a military base in Mogadishu on Saturday.
Footage from the blast site shows the destruction of surrounding vehicles and objects, as well as people tending to victims and casualties spread across the area.
Somali Army Major Hussein Nur said that the victims were predominately civilian, despite the suspicion that the bomb was targeting the passing convoy of Somali military commander Ahmed Mohamed Jimale and other senior officers.
The Al-Shabaab militant group has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack, which took place a week President Mohamed Abullahi Mohamed urged them to surrender in 60 days in return of education and jobs.
