This is the terrifying moment an Audi driver and his friends were carjacked at knifepoint in the middle of a busy main road into Manchester.
The disturbing footage shows a masked man wielding a machete pulling open the driver's door and ordering him to get out of the 4x4.
Screaming can be heard in the background as the 27-year-old driver is led in front of the Audi Q7. The car then speeds off from the scene. It happened on the A62 Oldham Road in Newton Heath - less than half a mile from Greater Manchester Police's headquarters - just before midnight Thursday night.
Police say the victim was driving along the road when he realised a blue Volkswagen Golf was following him.
A spokesman for GMP said they were aware of the video, and that investigations into the incident were ongoing.
They say no one was injured, and the Audi was later abandoned nearby.
They said: 'Shortly after 11.50pm on April 6, police were called to Oldham Road, Newton Heath, to reports of a car-jacking.
'Officers attended and established that a man was driving along Oldham Road when he became aware that two men in a blue VW Golf were following him.
'When he stopped at the lights he was approached by the men, one holding a machete, who threatened him and demanded that he got out of the car.
'The men then took his car and abandoned it a short distance away after taking his bag from inside.'
