A 'racist' was applauded after leaving a flight having allegedly told a black man 'you're all the same'.
Mobile phone footage from a Fly Safair flight shows a white man arguing with fellow passengers after he apparently called the man in front of him an 'a**hole'.
Having started that rift, he then is said to have turned to passengers who tried to defend the insulted man and told them 'you people are all the same'.
The row escalated to the point that the pilot had to be brought over to help calm matters, before the man decided to leave the flight.
A woman behind the camera implores the pilot to keep them safe and says she cannot fly when she feels so intimidated by the man in the row alongside hers.
She says: 'You are legally obligated to keep us safe, I do not feel safe going into the air with that kind of aggression.'
He and his female companion walked off, collecting their hand luggage, and made their way back to the airport.
The rest of the passengers cheered as the man left the flight.
As he left, he told people he wanted all their names.
They were on a flight to Port Elizabeth on Algoa Bay in South Africa's Eastern Cape Province on board a Flysafair plane.
FlySafair spokesperson Kirby Gordon praised the pilot saying he had been following Civil Aviation Safety procedures.
He said: 'We are aware of an altercation that took place between two passengers on flight FA232 on Friday 7th April.
'We are awaiting approach from the authorities to provide any required information that would be required to resolve this case.
'It is the obligation of the Captain of an aircraft to make the final call regarding his view on any potential threats on board the aircraft.
'In accordance with this, we would like to commend the Captain for following Civil Aviation Safety procedures. Safety is, and will always remain our primary concern.'
