The Republican National Committee (RNC) is out with a new video titled “100 Days of Obstruction,” which highlights obstructionist tactics that Congressional Democrats have implemented during President Trump’s first 100 days.
The ad opens with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) telling MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow that he would do his best to prevent Judge Neil Gorsuch’s nomination.
Next, a clip of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) shows her saying, “We’re the party of opposition, and that is our job,” followed by multiple clips of members of the media bashing Democrats for not working with the Trump administration and Republicans.
The ad concludes with House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) telling CBS News’ John Dickerson that Democrats aren’t going to work with anybody who wants to repeal Obamacare.
“In November, the American people made their voices heard by affirming President Trump’s vision for moving our country forward,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement. “As we approach President Trump’s 100th day in office, it’s clear the Democrats have only one goal in mind: obstruction. They have refused to work with Republicans to find solutions to the problems that face our nation, and voters will remember this display of blind partisanship when they head to the polls this year and in 2018.”
It seems that the RNC is going to use President Trump’s first 100 days to highlight Democrats’ obstruction to their agenda.
