

Murphy High School in Mobile was sent into lock down after a parent and his friends got into a fight with a student on Tuesday.Mobile County Public School System Spokeswoman confirmed the incident and gave a few details into what led to the altercation.Phillips said that a father of a student had been called to Murphy High School to meet with an assistant principal. When the parent arrived at the school he had brought three other adult males with him."He brought three friends," said Phillips. "The men approached a student and got into a fight."She said administrators intervened to stop the fight, but ended up having to contact the Mobile Police Department. MPD Spokesman Donald Wallace said that the parent and his three friends fled the school grounds before responding officers arrived.Phillips said the school was temporarily sent into lock down while Mobile police searched the school for the men.Wallace said the there is now an ongoing investigation into the incident at this time. No injuries to any students were reported.
