Stranger grabs teenage train passenger by the head and punches him in the FACE shocking unprovoked attack

A teenager was punched in the head and grabbed by the hair in an unprovoked attack by a stranger.
Reagan Cox, 19, was randomly assaulted by the long-haired assailant as he travelled on a Melbourne train with his girlfriend and sleeping friend in the early hours on Thursday.
Shocking CCTV footage captured the shocking moment the teenager was coward punched, before his attacker fled the carriage at Preston train station, 9NEWS reports.

The long-haired attacker, wearing a black t-shirt and black jeans, can be seen approaching Mr Cox, sitting with his girlfriend and putting his face very close to his in an intimidating manner.
Later, as Mr Cox turns to attend to his sleeping friend, the attacker again approaches him, violently grabbing his hair before punching the back of his head.
Mr Cox's girlfriend pushed the stranger away as he goes to flee the carriage.
'What was the point of it? I've never met him in my life,' Mr Cox told Nine News.

Following the altercation, Mr Cox followed his attacker out to Preston train station to find a Protective Services Officer (PSO) to report the assault.
However, the shaken teenager was unable to find any officers and had to wait until the next stop, South Morang station, to report the attack.
'If I had seen PSOs, I would have definitely could have flagged them down and (the attacker) could have been caught there and then,' he said.
Police are now searching for Mr Cox's attacker, who is described as Caucasian with long wavy brown hair and is aged in his 20s.
