Footage has emerged showing the moment a gigantic crane came crashing down at one of the world's busiest ports, narrowly missing an office block below.
The machine - believed to weigh around 1,850 tonnes - collapsed after it was hit by a container ship at Jebel Ali dockyard in the United Arab Emirates, just miles from the popular tourist city of Dubai.
An investigation has been launched after ten people were left injured following the incident on Thursday.
In the video, life at the dockyard appears normal as workers drive around beneath the crane just moments before it came hurtling down.
A second crane was also shifted during the incident on Thursday, but managed to stay upright.
DP World, who is responsible for the port, confirmed the incident happened at Terminal 1 of the popular port.
There was no reported pollution said but ship, the quay and two shore cranes were damaged.
The UK Marine Accident Investigation Branch said it had launched an investigation.
In a statement today, a spokesman told GCaptain: 'The collapsed quay crane will be removed following all necessary safety procedures once the investigation has been completed.
'The second crane is under assessment for structural integrity and not in use until further notice.'
The port is based just miles from the famous Palm Jebel Ali development, an ambitious project to build a luxurious city in the shape of a leaf on the edge of the city of Dubai.
Jebel Ali Port is one of the busiest ports in the world and is used by everyone from car manufacturers to expatriates moving their items abroad.
The port has around 98 cranes in total, 19 of which are up to 452 ft tall (138 metres) at full extension.
This makes their combined height three times the size of the world's tallest building the Buri Khalifa, Dubai's iconic landmark.
They each weigh 1,850 tonnes and are capable of lifting four twenty-foot containers at one time.
