Shocking cell phone footage has emerged showing the moment two airline passengers start a vicious brawl just after their flight touched down in California.
One man was arrested after the pair started fighting on board the Oakland-bound Southwest Airlines jet during a stopover in Burbank after arriving from Dallas, Texas, on Sunday.
This is just the latest in a string of airline horror stories that have come to light since a passenger was forcibly removed from a United Airlines flight last month.
Burbank police identified the suspect as Chaze Cable, 37, according to ABC.
Cable was charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery and pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday.
According to police, the suspect assaulted another passenger, leaving the victim with a bruise to his left eye, a cut to his nose and a chipped tooth.
A statement on Tuesday from the Dallas-based air carrier said the incident happened Sunday aboard Flight 2530 during deplaning at Burbank Bob Hope Airport in the San Fernando Valley suburb of Los Angeles.
The fight involved three passengers aboard the Boeing 737.
Southwest spokeswoman Alyssa Eliasen says police were summoned and one passenger was arrested, while another incurred minor injuries that did not prevent further travel.
There was no word on what prompted the quarrel.
In a statement, the airline thanked their staff for acting quickly to diffuse the situation.
They told DailyMail.com: 'We’re grateful to our Employees who quickly reacted to break up a fight involving three Customers on Sunday, May 7.
'The altercation occurred during the deplaning of flight 2530 in Burbank after the routine flight landed safely from Dallas.
'Local law enforcement responded following the incident, arresting one of the passengers.
'One Customer had minor injuries, but was able to travel onward. We have no other reports of injuries.
'Our Employees are our everyday heroes and are trained to de-escalate conflict while delivering heartfelt Hospitality on nearly 4000 flights to nearly the half-million Customers who fly Southwest every day.'
The plane eventually took off again for Oakland.
The brawl is the latest in a series of disturbances involving US airliners.
Problems began last month with cellphone video capturing a passenger being dragged off a United Airlines flight.
Other horror stories from customers surfaced later involving flights on Delta and American airlines.
Then late Monday, irate passengers swarmed ticket counters at the Fort Lauderdale airport after Spirit Airlines canceled nine flights, blaming the decision on pilots' failure to show up.
Some travelers started a near-riot at the Fort Lauderdale terminal as hundreds of travelers were left stranded.
Deputies arrested three people from New York in the Fort Lauderdale airport, charging them with inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and trespassing.
Earlier this month, two men started a fight on a plane as other horrified passengers looked on and a desperate stewardess tried to pull them apart before allegedly being 'choked' by one of the brawlers on a stationary Japanese ANA flight to Los Angeles.
The video was posted online after the fight at Narita International Airport.
It shows the men, one wearing a bright red and white Hawaiian shirt, throwing punches at each other from their seats.
