Surveillance footage has revealed the shocking moment a toddler rode a moped and crashed into a restaurant.
The two-year-old girl had apparently stepped on the accelerator by accident, causing the vehicle to smash into a restaurant in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on May 14.
Four diners, including a six-year-old boy and a 21-month-old toddler, were injured.
According to a Sohu report, the woman was trying to park her moped in front of a restaurant on Sunday morning. Her two-year-old daughter was riding on it.
The woman told her daughter, who was sitting in front of her, to get off the moped. However, the two-year-old stepped on the throttle by accident as she tried to step off.
As a result, the moped accelerated and crashed into the restaurant.
According to a CCTV footage on Youku, the out-of-control moped sped into the store and mowed down a family of four, who were having breakfast.
Victims included a six-year-old boy and his toddler brother, who is 21 months old.
The six-year-old fell to the ground while his younger brother, on a stroller, was thrown onto other restaurant facilities before hitting the floor.
The family of four sustained minor injuries. The two children were sent to the hospital for checkups. They suffered bruises.
The female motorist and the injured family have agreed to settle the matters privately, according to the police.
