Video footage has caught the moment a group of pensioners and basketball players fight each other over court space.
The pensioners were part of a square dance group who were reportedly playing loud music at the time according to the basketball players.
The brawl was so bad that police had to close off the court in Luoyang City, China's Henan province on May 31.
The men were playing basketball when they became frustrated by music coming from the square dancing pensioners.
An argument broke out between the two parties.
In the footage, one of the basketball players can be seen surrounded by the square dancers.
One of the pensioners can be seen throwing punches at the young man who then starts to fight back.
Many of the square dancers start to push the man and grab him.
He threatens to throw a basketball at the group.
The fight continues for some time.
One of the basketball players involved said that the group had been thrown off the court by the dancers for three days in a row.
Police have said they will arrange for another place for the pensioners to square dance.
In China square dancing is popular with older people who use the activity to keep fit. Square dancing groups practice in public squares and other spaces across the country.
