Hilarious video shows the moment that a thief tried to steal 15 bottles of motor oil and 30 DVDs from a convenience store by stuffing them in his baggy jeans, before je was caught by an undercover cop.
The incident happened last Thursday at a 7-Eleven in Lakeland, Florida, according to a Facebook post from the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
The post says that Detective Phil Ryan was sitting in an unmarked car in the 7-Eleven's parking lot when he saw 38-year-old William J. Hall walk into the store wearing very baggy jeans.
Hall then turned down the first aisle and proceeded to stuff 15 bottles of Penzoil and 30 discounted DVDs in his jeans, in plain view of the cop sitting outside.
The video shows Hall walking into the store with baggy jeans and leaving moments later, his pants very much inflated with the stolen goods.
He then walks back to his car, right past Ryan's work vehicle, noticeably straining to carry the loot.
Ryan gets out of the car and is then seen escorting Hall back into the store, where Hall pulls out the stolen goods and returns them to an employee behind the counter.
Hall was later charged with petit theft. Since it was his third arrest for petit theft, the charge is now a felony.
'Mr. Hall, the next time you need some motor oil and last-minute gifts, please pay for them. That guy in the car outside might just be a plainclothes detective,' the Polk County Sheriff's Office said in the Facbook post.
