This is the dramatic moment a plainclothes policeman apprehends a man wanted for the theft of a motorcycle in Hefei city, Anhui Province last Tuesday.
Police say this surveillance camera footage shows the suspect noticed he was being watched and tried to casually escape on a sharing bicycle without arousing any more suspicion. However, a 55-year-old plainclothes police officer named Feng Yifa was already on his tail. As the suspect speeded up, Feng brought him to the ground with a flying tackle.
With the help of Feng’s colleagues nearby, the suspect was arrested.
The video has gone viral online, with netizens applauding the police. Some joked that the public should be grateful for the slow speed of sharing bicycles.
