MSNBC was playing remarks that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) gave to reporters on Tuesday regarding Donald Trump Jr. meeting with a Russian lawyer but cut Graham’s audio when he began talking about the Clinton campaign meeting with Russian officials.
“Okay, so anytime you’re in a campaign and you get offered from a foreign government to help your campaign, the answer is no,” Graham was telling reporters including MSNBC Kasie Hunt.
CNN’s Manu Raju asked Graham if he thought the White House was being truthful about, “their meetings that occurred between the associates and the Russians?”
“It’s very frustrating for, every couple of weeks, to find out about a new meeting. I’m sure they met with a lot of people during the campaign. I’m sure the Clinton campaign met with–” Graham told Raju, at which point MSNBC cut the sound on Graham’s mic but kept its camera on the Senator.
Kasie Hunt can be heard instead trying to ask Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) a question.
Russian officials have previously told reporters that their officials met with both associates of the Trump and Clinton camapigns.
