Armed demonstrators faced off, launching fireworks and firing guns in central Caracas some ten blocks from the Government Palace, Saturday, as protests against President Nicolas Maduro continue to rock the Venezuelan capital.
Pro-Maduro protesters and anti-government demonstrators clashed in the area, attempting to take control of the neighbourhood. Earlier in the day protesters were reportedly seen throwing Molotov cocktails at the National Guard from a block of flats in the vicinity. Pro-Maduro protesters could be seen removing barricades that anti-government activists had set up earlier in the day.
