Former Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta wouldn’t address allegations that Hillary Clinton sold a fifth of U.S. uranium production to the Russians in an appearance on CNN on Wednesday.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders pointed out at the Tuesday press briefing that the Democratic National Committee had coordinated with Ukrainian officials, and that Hillary Clinton approved a uranium sale to Clinton Foundation donors from Russia during her tenure as secretary of state.
“This is what they do,” Podesta said, of the Trump administration. “They try to divert attention.”
The Democratic operative claimed that the stories have been “knocked down by the mainstream media.”
The New York Times originally reported the uranium sale story, while the DNC-Ukrainian collusion story was published by Politico.
