CCTV captured the terrifying moment a thug tried to rob a shop armed with a screwdriver.
Roy Davis, 58, entered the shop with the weapon while wearing a tea towel over his face, a hooded coat and sandals, a court heard.
The convicted serial robber was traced by DNA on one of his sandals after it fell off during the horrendous failed raid.
Footage of the incident shows bottles falling off shelves during the struggle at 8.30pm on Saturday, December 17, last year.
