This is the horrific moment an elderly woman's face hit the floor, after a brazen thief dragged her to the ground in a desperate attempt to steal her handbag.
The victim, in her seventies, was walking through a busy town centre when Gavin Newbold grabbed her handbag and left her lying face down in the road.
CCTV footage from Thames Valley Police shows the exact moment callous Newbold attacked the OAP in a busy street in broad daylight.
Good Samaritans were shown stepping in to help the unnamed woman, who was hospitalised and left with significant injuries to her face, thumb, wrist and feet as well as the loss of a front tooth.
