A newborn baby sleeping in a cot in a hospital was thrown to the floor in a shocking accident caught on CCTV .
The baby was just a few hours old and looked as though it was being rocked by a nurse when she absentmindedly pushed the wheeled cot a little too hard.
The front wheels locked in place, meaning the back wheels of the see-through cot lifted up and propelled the baby out.
The little one, who had its arms and legs still wrapped in a blanket, fell to the floor and was unable to protect itself.
The tot, named Eli, hit its head after the nurse fell asleep during an early morning feed at the birthing centre in Uniontown Hospital in Pennsylvania, USA.
