Lorry Driver Captured Falling Asleep Before Horrifying Crash

A long-distance lorry driver was killed in his own cab after driving while tired and crashing head on into another vehicle.

The horrific crash video has been released by police as a stark warning to anyone thinking of driving while feeling sleepy.

In the clip the man, who has not been named, can be seen yawning and taking his hands off the steering wheel while driving at 1am.

He can also be seen touching his head and stretching his limbs in a desperate bid to stay awake.

The clip now being widely shared by traffic police on Chinese social media who are reminding members of the public not to drive when tired and to make use of motorway service areas to rest.

Companies in China found guilty of not allowing their drivers enough rest can also be charged with negligence, reports said.
