Before the Thursday Night Football game between the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears, Todd Piro asked NFL fans in Green Bay, Wisconsin, what they think about players' national anthem protests.
The overwhelming majority said it's important to honor the anthem and the American flag.
One man said he's a disabled veteran who served in two wars to defend the country, and he thinks it's a "terrible thing" to see it be disrespected.
"We all should stand for the flag. This is America," he said. "I took three shots for this country. I still stand for the flag."
Another vet said that he's "ashamed of our country" when he sees players refusing to stand for the anthem.
"I kneel for the Lord and I stand for the flag," one woman said.
A Packers fan said he would give up his season tickets if the entire team knelt for the anthem, explaining that there is a time and place to protest, but it's not while "The Star-Spangled Banner" is being played.
"Do it at some other time. The national anthem is sacred to us. The flag is sacred to us," another Packers fan said.
