Terrifying Moment Dramatic Crash Sent Two Cars Spinning Off Road

A man has been left fighting for his life after a car crash that sent two cars hurtling off the road and left one just inches from going through a family's front window.

Footage from a dramatic smash in Bolton, Greater Manchester, shows the cars spinning off the road, and one of them hit a corner shop.

The other grinds to a halt with what seems to be inches to spare before it would have crashed through someone's front window.

The smash happened around 9pm on Sunday night involving a taxi and a Vauxhall Astra, leaving debris over the road, reports the Manchester Evening News .

Two men travelling in the taxi, a Skoda, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The 56-year-old driver suffered head injuries which are not believed to be life threatening, however the passenger, aged 32, suffered serious internal injuries which are described as life threatening.

Police are now searching for the driver of the Vauxhall after he left the scene before they arrived.

The crash was caught by nearby CCTV , which shows the moment the two cars collided, sending the taxi spinning into a Premier convenience store.

The other car travels even further, and ends up reverse crashing into a front wall, several houses down from the crossroads.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman confirmed they were called to the scene.

Police Constable Neil Pennington, from the serious collision investigation unit, said: “This collision has left two men requiring hospital treatment, one of whom remains in a life threatening condition.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, particularly if they have dash cam footage showing what happened or the immediate aftermath.

“If you have any information at all then please contact police.”

The road was completely closed off by police into the early hours of Monday morning.

Witnesses reported seeing numerous police cars, ambulances and fire engines at the scene.
