Despite horrified witnesses pleading with him to stop, Carl Gallimore punches the helpless Staffordshire bull terrier to the ground before kneeling on her and continuing his savage attack.
Gallimore was found guilty of causing unnecessary suffering to an animal after admitting beating 12-year-old Kiya on a street corner, the Liverpool Echo reports.
The court heard how on October 5 of last year, Gallimore was witnessed by several members of the public hitting the elderly dog so hard she fell to the ground.
