A pedestrian is lucky to be alive following a shocking near-miss which was captured in terrifying dashcam footage.
The car had to violently swerve to avoid the man who was crossing the road in west London - with one witness saying he could have been killed.
He is seen leaping away from the car as it nearly hit him on a pelican crossing in the early hours of yesterday.
The man, wearing dark clothing with reflective cuffs on his trousers, stopped in his tracks as the car careered toward him.
The terrifying video was taken by driver Steven Paz in Dawley Road, Hayes, Get West London reports.
