A moment of bravery has been captured on video as rescuers desperately battling the California fires rescued a disabled woman from her burning home.
The body cam footage, shared by the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department, shows a Sheriff's deputy frantically banging on windows and doors of homes in an attempt to evacuate residents as the inferno raged around him.
In the darkness, and as the air filled with ash and burning embers, he sees a colleague trying to drag a disabled woman away from danger and runs to help.
His colleague says: "She's disabled. Her husband's right behind you.
