Shocking footage of the moment a six-year-old boy was thrown like a rag doll after being struck by a car has been released in a warning to parents.
The young child somehow escaped with only cuts and bruises after he was launched several metres down the road when he was hit by a blue Ford Focus in Blackpool.
Lancashire Police have released footage of the incident that took place in Whitegate Drive on October 15 in a reminder to parents to teach their children proper road safety.
PC Tim Taylor told the Blackpool Gazette : "The vast majority of parents teach their children about road safety and how to safely cross the road.
