Police chase man who stole ambulance and went on a JOYRIDE with patient and medic in the back

This is the tense moment a man jumped into an ambulance and took it on a joyride - with a patient and a medic trapped inside.



The man jumped into the front seat as the fire department responded to a call in Dayton, Ohio, and shifted it into gear as the keys were already inside.



Dashcam footage shows a number of police cars desperately try to catch up with him as the ambulance zooms through the road with its blue lights on.



One quick-thinking police car pulled out in front of the ambulance to force it to grind to a stop.



Officers can then be seen jumping out of other cars to drag the man out of the ambulance and wrestle him to the ground.
