Young boy violently attacked by two dogs as his screaming gran tries to rescue him during harrowing footage

WARNING - DISTRESSING FOOTAGE: A German shepherd and a Rottweiler both attacked the little boy, who cries out before being helped by a passer by



Sickening footage shows a young boy being violently attacked by two dogs as his screaming grandmother tries to rescue him.



Video of the distressing attack shows the child sobbing in pain as the German shepherd and Rottweiler pull at his legs, while his gran clutches his body to prevent him being dragged down the street.



According to the man who shot the video, dozens of passers did nothing to intervene as the two large dogs pushed the child to the ground and began biting his legs and backside.



After recording the footage for evidence, he is then said to have kicked the animals eventually causing them to loosen their grip and run away.



The child was reportedly badly injured during the attack, while his grandmother also suffered bites on one of her hands as she was trying to save him.



Police in Leiyang, China, are investigating and are yet to make any arrests.
