Passerby's horror as GIANT RAT spotted in restaurant window 'after running in from street to get to kitchen'

Stomach-churning footage shows one of the most unappetising sights you could face when going for a meal - a huge rat in the window.



A clip of the massive rodent has been shared hundreds of times, but the Australian restaurant where it was taken has described it as a freak incident.



In the brief camera phone footage, taken by a 'horrified' passerby, the rat is seen sitting on top of an appliance, with its long tail dangling down.



Public health officials in Sydney have said it has since been exterminated.



Emily Tang, who owns Minto Chinese Restaurant, told the Macarthur Chronicle : "I opened the door and it maybe came from the streets, trying to get into the kitchen.
