Pedestrian crossing street shunted by car as light turns amber - but who's in the right?

A debate has started over a video that has emerged showing a man being shunted by a car at a pedestrian crossing, but viewers can't decide who is in the right.



The footage, taken from the car's dashcam , shows the vehicle approaching traffic lights at a pelican crossing in Stonebow, Lincoln.



The car appears to be crossing the stop line just as the light turns amber.



Moments later, a man appears to be shunted by the vehicle, and lands on the bonnet of the car.



The man crossing the road then hurls expletives at the driver and bangs on his window.
