A chilling video shows a step-dad using a baby doll to show how he tried to 'save' the life of the toddler he fatally injured.
Danny Shepherd demonstrated to detectives how he had carried out chest compressions on tiny Eli Cox, the youngest son of his girlfriend Katherine Cox.
In footage of the police interview shown to the court during his trial, Shepherd claimed the five-month-old stopped breathing and he had desperately tried to revive him.
But Eli later died of a catastrophic brain injury after being consistently shaken and subjected to a barrage of attacks in his short life.
The tragic tot died in hospital two weeks after he stopped breathing at his mum's home in Minster, Kent with a staggering 28 fractures to his tiny bones.
