An 'angry' driver ploughed into an unsuspecting clubber and sent him flying after rowing with his girlfriend during a night out, it was claimed.
The disturbing scene was captured on CCTV as the victim was knocked off his feet and the car sped off.
Police believe the hit-and-run driver had been involved in an argument with his girlfriend just moments before he struck the pedestrian, the Manchester Evening News reports.
Footage shows a woman getting out of the passenger side of the silver Nissan Micra as it slowly moves along the street.
After the door was slammed shut, the car reverses slightly before it accelerates and hits the man from behind.
The victim is struck by the vehicle and is thrown across the bonnet before falling onto the floor in Yorkshire Street in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
Luckily, police said, he doesn’t appear to have been seriously injured as he gets back up and walks away.
The driver is then caught on CCTV fleeing at speed.
Officers probing the incident are now trying to find the driver and the victim to check he was not injured when he was hit by the car in the early hours of Saturday.
Detective Constable Leigh Carnally, from GMP’s Oldham borough, said: “This was a completely unprovoked attack on a man who was enjoying a night out. He certainly didn’t deserve to be hit by a car.
“Our main priority is to make sure that the man who was hit is fine and we would urge him to contact police to let us know. I want to stress he is not in any trouble.”
The driver is described as being a white man wearing dark clothes and potentially a high visibility jacket or vest.
DC Carnally added: “We are following lines of enquiry to identify the driver and anyone who witnessed the attack is also urged to get in touch with us as you might have key information.”
Anyone with any information is urged to call Oldham CID on 0161 856 0932 quoting incident number 334 of 11 November 2017.
