China has unveiled an amphibious tank it claims is capable of travelling at high speeds on land and water.
The armoured vehicle, called VN18, is the most powerful of its kind in the world reaching up to 40mph on the ground and 19mph on water, according to Chinese state media.
Weighing 26.5 tonnes, the machine is said to be equipped with a 30mm cannon, machine gun, smoke grenades and an anti-tank missile.
The tank is able to carry three drivers and 11 soldiers inside it, China Central Television reported.
