A skillful pilot managed to make an emergency landing - despite his plane missing its front wheel.
The light aircraft was without its landing gear when it came down in Maryland on Monday.
The plane, a a 1966 Piper PA30 twin engine, circled St. Mary's County Regional Airport for more than 90 minutes to burn fuel.
The pilot, Anthony James Capozzi, then executed the emergency landing skidding on the runway emitting a small amount of smoke, local media reported.
