The biggest ever joint air force drills between the US and South Korea took place today in an effort to warn of North Korea.
US fighter jets began carrying out the annual Vigilant Ace drill - less than a week after Kim Jong-un fired his latest missile.
Up to 12,000 US service members including the Marines and Navy joined South Korean troops for the opening of the five day exercise.
The drills will include exercises against a mock North Korean nuclear launch site.
It comes as mounting tensions with the North saw the White House's national security say the chances for war are growing.
