A man who had been detained in the back of a police car ran off after two bungling officers left the door open.
Footage shows two cops wrestling a second man to the ground by the side of their marked vehicle.
But as they were distracted the first man managed to climb over the seats and escape via the open door.
The man was filmed sprinting down Bristol Street in central Birmingham and even passed three further police vehicles.
Police later confirmed that a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs after they pulled over an uninsured car.
But the man who escaped from the car is still on the run.
