A young couple are fighting for their lives after an 80ft-high Christmas rope jump went disastrously wrong over a frozen Russian river.
Horrifying footage shows the couple slam into the thick ice with a sickening thud after they were given a bungee cord that was too long.
The man and woman - who have not been named - were still unconscious when they were rushed into intensive care near the remote nuclear city of Seversk, Russia.
The couple are seen on video hugging each other and joking as they prepare for their jump over the frozen River Tom.
