A hunter and his son risked their lives to save a terrified deer trapped on a frozen lake.
Michael Konopka and his son, Christian, were stalking animals when they found the frightened animal.
With a rope tied around his waist, Michael edged out on the thin ice , which can be heard cracking below his feet.
The animal tries to flee as the hunter gets closer but eventually Michael manages to grab him and carry him back to safety.
Michael is then filmed releasing the deer in the snowy bank next to the Monongahela River in Pennsylvania.
