A 20-year-old man stumbled into a shop bleeding badly from the face after he was attacked with a machete and stabbed in the eye.
He was ambushed by two men - one carrying a machete - as he walked along at road in Chingford, days before Christmas.
Detectives say the victim may lose the lose the sight in his left eye after being knifed, at around 10.30pm on Friday, December 15.
Shop workers raised the alarm after he walked in with his face covered in blood.
