A firefighter catches a newborn baby in mid-air who was thrown out of the third floor of a burning apartment by frantic parents.
The blaze took place at the Avondale Forest Apartments, in Decatur, Georgia, in the early hours of January 3, which left 80 people homeless.
Hero and "supermom" of triplets Captain Jackie Peckrul was one of the DeKalb County firefighters that responded to the blaze, reports WAGA-TV .
The 14-year veteran said the situation was dire when the department first arrived.
"You immediately saw flames, and you could hear their screams," she said.
