This thief went to extremes to avoid capture while trying to steal a car - by disguising himself as a CHRISTMAS TREE.
The crook was caught on camera hiding in front of Christmas tree as he broke into a car in Amsterdam at 2.45am on Friday.
Footage from hostel Stayokay's security camera shows the brazen thief walking up to a car carrying a fir tree in a bid to hide his identity.
He is seen to pull at the car's door handle before skulking off out of view.
