Woman writhes on ground after falling from fourth-floor window following 'row over missing $100 bill' with American tourist

A woman fell from a fourth floor window following a reported row with a man over missing money.



An American tourist has been arrested over the incident which was captured on a hotel's CCTV cameras.



The footage shows the woman writhing around on the floor outside in agony after she had fallen from the window.



She clutches her body as she rolls from side to side - as amazingly she reportedly survived the drop largely unharmed.



The clip then also shows what happened before the event.



At 1.35am on January 12 the woman, who has been named as Perla Raetegui, can be seen entering the hotel with the man, Bruce Bradshaw, after chatting to someone else outside.



Three minutes later he can be seen getting his keys from reception before they make their way upstairs to room 408.



But at 2am the woman is seen going back down the stairs.



Bradshaw followers her looking like he is doing up his blue shirt in the process and it appears they start arguing in the lobby.



It is reported they had a heated row over a missing $100 bill.



The 22-year-old, dressed in a floral top and black trousers, seems to want to get away but is blocked by the American tourist.



A few minutes later they go back up to his room before she plunges from out the window onto the street below.



The incident happened at the San Pedro Inn in the Surquillo district in Peru.



Bradshaw had been staying at the hotel for three days.



It has been reported that Perla's screams were heard as she was found on the pavement below room 408.



But miraculously she survived.



An ambulance was called which took her to the hospital where she was treated for a broken left leg and fractured right ankle.



Police are investigating the case and have detained Bradshaw at the Surquillo police station.
