A mum-of-two has been left shaken after a stranger followed her to her door and allegedly sexually assaulted her before saying "I had to do it".
Jesse Ratu, 24, was on a morning walk in Queensland, Australia, when the man approached her.
CCTV footage from her block of flats shows him slapping her bottom several times before she turns around and looks at him.
The pair are seen having an exchange before she goes inside and he attempts to grab her again.
Speaking about the incident afterwards, Jesse said she rushed inside to inform her partner, Brendon Wilson, about the incident, prompting him to run downstairs to confront the man.
But after trying to look for him, Brendon was unsuccessful and the two went to the police and gave a statement.
Speaking to 9 News Gold Coast, Jesse said: "So I just buzzed in and that's when he grabbed my bum five times and I pushed the door open and think I said 'Don't touch me'.
"I shouldn't really be worried walking in my own street, but I probably won't do that anymore.
"[It] was disgusting to say the least. He said to me, 'Sorry I just had to do that, you have the best bum' or something like that, and that's when I just pushed the door and ran in as quick as I could. I freaked out."
Brendan Wiblen of Queensland Police said: "This was a very disturbing incident for the young woman.
"Fortunately for us, such incidents of an unprovoked assault in the street, are very rare."
A 40-year-old man has now been charged on two counts of sexual assault and is due to appear in court on February 6.
