This is the heart-stopping moment a brave police officer battled to help a woman caught in a gang-related ammonia attack outside McDonald's - despite being affected by the gas herself.
Dramatic bodycam footage shows the WPC coughing and spluttering after the chemical was thrown from drink bottles outside a busy McDonalds restaurant.
She desperately calls for urgent help on her radio and asks for water - and as she moves around the crowd the footage shows other members of the public are also caught up in the attack.
In particular, it soon becomes clear that one woman crouched down on the floor with her eyes shut tight has got the chemical in her eyes - and is frightened to open them.
The woman seems to be in shock as she was tended to by officers who tried to pour water into her eyes.
