The female anatomy performs some pretty nifty tricks, not only during childbirth , but in those weeks and months leading up to D-day.
Sometimes, however, a mum-to-be still needs a little assistance making sure the baby is primed and ready for action.
Take breech babies, for example.
With around three per cent of babies remaining in a 'breech' position until the end of the pregnancy, these are comparatively rare.
This is where an ECV can help, which is a procedure where the baby is moved into position.
While they don't always work, when they do, it means a mum need not change her birth plan - which can be incredibly important.
