A mum-of-three was beaten, stamped on, and even had clumps of hair ripped out, as 12 passersby ignored the vicious attack.
Judith Hood, 48, was targeted by thug Carla Peak as she waited at a cashpoint - during an unprovoked onslaught which lasted around eight minutes.
The shocking assault took place after Peak became enraged because she was unable to withdraw money from the ATM on Bridge Street, in Blyth, Northumberland.
She then lashed out at innocent Judith, who suffered fractured ribs, a dislocated shoulder and had so much hair pulled from her scalp that investigators managed to fill a forensic carrier with it.
But when Judith went to Newcastle Crown Court to watch her attacker be sentenced last month - and saw a video of what happened played back - she was stunned to see how many people had walked past without coming to her aid.
The ordeal has left her faith in humanity shattered.
