Stray dogs set upon and killed a baby girl as she crawled outside her house after being left in the care of her five-year-old brother.
The 14-month-old baby was 'savaged' in a gruesome attack, and although she was rushed to hospital, she was sadly later pronounced dead.
CCTV caught the horrifying scene as Riya Sahu was attacked outside her home in the Anupam Nagar area of Raipur in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh.
The footage shows the tiny baby crawling just moments before the tragedy.
A police spokesman said locals saw two dogs attack the child and rushed over to help.
He said they successfully drove away the animals but by that time they had savaged the little girl.
