Archaeologists in Israel believe they have discovered the earliest human fossil ever found outside of Africa.
The international research team, led by Binghampton University, found the fossil - an upper jawbone with several teeth - while exploring a cave in Israel.
The exciting finding suggests that modern humans left Africa at least 50,000 years earlier than previously thought.
Professor Rolf Quam, co-author of the study, said: “Misliya is an exciting discovery.
