Phoenix Suns guard Isaiah Canaan suffered a horrific lower leg injury that looked exactly the same as the one that struck down Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward.
As time wound down during his sides contest against the Dallas Mavericks and with the Suns holding an 18-point lead, Canaan drove towards the rim.
Launching off the court and towards the hoop, Canaan was bumped by Mavericks guards Yogi Ferrell and Wesley Matthews as he tumbled off balance.
Canaan landed on the hardwood with his left foot caught under his body with the impact of the landing forcing the severe injury.
