A man was dragged from underneath a tram by panicked passers-by in Manchester city centre after getting trapped when he got knocked off his bike.
Mobile phone footage shows shopworkers using a penknife to cut the man free after his rucksack got caught in the undercarriage, pinning him down against the tracks.
He can then be seen being gently pulled from underneath the tram by passers-by on the High Street, opposite the Arndale food market.
The man then pulled himself along the pavement following the incident on Monday afternoon, reports the Manchester Evening News .
