A distressing video shows a puma backed into a corner as part of a sick trophy hunt.



Mexican authorities are investigating the illegal hunting and killing of the endangered animal.



Conservationists were alerted after a photo of two men holding a dead puma appeared online accompanied with a short video showing a puma, probably the same one, being attacked by a pack of dogs.



The Federal Attorney for Environment Protection (Profepa) reported the case to the authorities in Escobedo in the northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon.
